Bio:

Paula Keppie is a multidisciplinary artist and poet who makes site-specific collaborative works and installations. She received her BA degree from Spalding University, studied at the University of Louisville, and lived and practiced her art in Canada, where she completed advanced studies in surface design at the New Brunswick College of Craft and Design. Sabbaticals in Scotland and Switzerland, and travel throughout Quebec and British Columbia led to the cultural and historical study of the materials of language making. Keppie’s work is process driven, often playful and whimsical as she uses art to strengthen community amid shared experience.

Artist Statement:

Life Address celebrates my 35-year practice as an artist and poet.  Deconstructing a motherlode of letter press poems, paintings, drawings, and exhibit posters, I’ve fashioned the work into some new moment, a hand shake with the ephemeral.
